HyperX has expanded its Omen line of gaming monitors with the introduction of two new 27-inch QD-OLED monitors. Both monitors feature QHD resolution, but differ in refresh rates, interfaces, and additional features. The older version has a maximum refresh rate of an impressive 500Hz.

The first model is a 27-inch QD-OLED monitor with a refresh rate of 240Hz. It features a 2560 × 1440 pixel panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a claimed response time of just 0.03ms. According to HyperX, the display supports HDR and offers native contrast ratio of 1.5 million to one. Color gamut reaches 99% Display P3 and 99% sRGB, with factory calibration targeting an average Delta E value below 2.

The monitor supports adaptive synchronization with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium compatibility, and motion clarity is VESA ClearMR 13000 certified. The connector set includes one DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5mm audio output. The stand is fully adjustable and allows you to change the height, tilt, swivel and orientation of the screen.

With it, HyperX introduced a more advanced 27-inch QD-OLED model with an unusually high 500Hz refresh rate at the same QHD resolution. This variant has received VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification and extended color gamut: 98% Display P3, 99% sRGB, and 96% Adobe RGB. Factory calibration is performed using HyperX ProLuma technology, and the company claims an average Delta E deviation of less than 1.

In addition to DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1s, the 500Hz version features a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode support and up to 100W of power, a USB hub, and a separate button for a KVM switch. The motion clarity complies with the VESA ClearMR 21000 standard. Additional features include — aRGB backlighting, a headphone holder that can be 3D printed, advanced OSD controls and the HyperX OLED CoreProtect toolkit to reduce the risk of matrix burn-in.
