CES 2026: Amazfit showed a concept for AR sports glasses

Zepp Health, known for its Amazfit-branded wearable devices for athletes, unveiled concept Amazfit Helio Glasses smart glasses at CES 2026. The device is not yet a final product, but the manufacturer expects the concept to be released as early as the second half of 2026.

The device is not yet a final product, but the manufacturer expects the concept to be released in the second half of 2026.

Amazfit Helio Glasses are designed for athletes, primarily runners and cyclists. The glasses work in conjunction with the Amazfit smartwatch and display key stats right in the user’s field of vision, eliminating the need to stare at the watch screen during a workout. It uses a minimalistic HUD display that shows only the most important information and probably not all parameters at once.

While running or biking, Zepp Health says the glasses can display current pace, heart rate, and navigation cues. It’s also possible to display interval data during interval training. The direct projection of information into the field of view is especially useful during intense exercise, when it is important for the athlete to fully focus on movement and technique.

Besides «smart» functions, Helio Glasses will also fulfill a protective role. The glasses are planned to be equipped with polycarbonate lenses to protect the eyes. Physical control buttons are provided in the frame, and the ability to control via a connected smartwatch is also claimed. The battery life of the device should be about five hours — this is enough for a marathon distance.

Partially comparable solutions already exist on the market. For example, Garmin offers the Vanguard goggles, co-developed with Oakley and Meta*, but they don’t have their own display. Similar concepts and products are also being developed by other manufacturers, underscoring the growing interest in wearable AR solutions for sports.

* Owned by Meta, it is recognized as an extremist organization in the Russian Federation and its activities are banned.
