Hideo Kojima Productions has officially announced the partnership with Asus Republic of Gamers. According to an Asus press release, the collaboration results in the ROG Flow Z13-KJP tablet, ROG Keris II Origin-KJP mouse, ROG Delta II-KJP headset and ROG Scabbard II XXL-KJP large mouse pad. All devices are unified by the slogan «For Ludens Who Dare». Kojima Productions’ lead artist and character designer Yoji Shinkawa played a key role in the project. It was he who personally designed the look of all the devices, endowing them with the recognizable Ludens aesthetic. The design features angular shapes, carbon fiber elements and a color palette of white, gold and gray. Shinkawa commented on the design concept, noting that he wanted to create a gadget that seamlessly belonged to the world of Ludens, and carried that idea into the design of the PC and accessories, inspired by the character’s image and spirit. The centerpiece of the collaboration is the ROG Flow Z13-KJP — a transformable 2-in-1 gaming tablet. It features an AMD AI Max+ 395 series Strix Halo processor and a 13.4-inch ROG Nebula display with 2.5K resolution and 180Hz refresh rate. Based on the specs, the display uses an IPS matrix. The tablet comes with a detachable keyboard with elongated protrusions to rest your hands and wrists on, giving the device a more distinctive and cohesive look. It also comes with a sturdy, white, utilitarian-style carrying case reminiscent of the shipping containers from Death Stranding. The tablet comes with a detachable keyboard that rests comfortably on your hands and wrists for a more distinctive and cohesive look. The lineup is rounded out by the ROG Keris II Origin-KJP mouse, which is ergonomically shaped and weighs just 65 grams. It features a ROG AimPoint Pro sensor with up to 42,000 DPI and ROG optical microswitches. The Kojima Productions version comes in white with black buttons, a gold scroll wheel and side accents, and the brand’s signature «For Ludens Who Dare». It’s also available in a white color with black buttons, gold scroll wheel and side accents. The ROG Delta II-KJP headset gets titanium-coated 50mm drivers and an ultra-wideband microphone. Design highlights include a gold Ludens logo on the earcups, textured cushioning, and a striking gold hinge. The left cup is engraved with the inscription: «CAUTION: Comfort may lead to just one more gaming syndrome». A 900 × 400 mm ROG Scabbard II XL-KJP mouse pad completes the set. It features a soft fabric surface with a non-slip rubber backing. The entire top of the rug is adorned with a detailed Ludens image created by Yoji Shinkawa.
