CES 2026: Acer unveiled the Vero HL1820 4K RGB laser projector for home theater and gaming

At CES 2026, Acer announced a new smart home accessory — the Vero HL1820 projector. The new product is aimed at home theaters and gamers and uses an advanced RGB laser light source with support for 4K UHD and HDR.
Acer Vero HL1820 — is a 4K projector with a resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Brightness reaches 5,500 RGB laser lumens, with standard brightness at 2,000 ANSI-lumens and 1,600 ANSI-lumens in economy mode — 1,600 ANSI-lumens. The projector features Acer’s proprietary RGB laser technology with independent red, green and blue diodes for high color accuracy and clean light.
The Vero HL1820 covers 106% of the BT.2020 color space, offering ultra-wide color gamut and realistic picture in every frame, the company claims. The projector supports a projection ratio of 1.4-2.24, 1.6x zoom and is designed to deliver the sharpest possible image in a variety of installation conditions.

The laser light source is designed to last up to 30,000 hours without maintenance and uses 50% less power than traditional lamp projectors. It features four-angle trapezoid correction, horizontal and vertical correction, and support for 360-degree projection for easy installation.
In terms of interfaces, Acer offers two HDMI 2.0 ports with HDCP 2.0 support, a 3.5mm audio jack, USB-A with 5V / 1.5A power output, and USB-C with 5V / 0.5A output. Completing the picture are built-in 15-watt speakers, a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 3,500,000:1 and low noise levels — just 29 dB in Eco mode.

The projector’s dimensions are 286 × 216 × 115.5 mm and weight — about 2.9 kg, making it relatively compact for a 4K laser model.
The Acer Vero HL1820 is priced at €1,499. The projector will be available for sale in March.
