CES 2026: Segway unveils three electric two-wheelers: Muxi, Myon and Xaber 300

Segway has expanded its electric transportation portfolio with the introduction of three new two-wheeled models — the Muxi and Myon e-bikes and the Xaber 300 off-road electric bike. The new models are aimed at different audiences, from urban commuting and family travel to off-roading.

The highlight of the announcement was the Segway Xaber 300 — an electric enduro bike with performance comparable to gasoline-powered 300cc motorcycles. The model is also aimed at beginner riders and is equipped with advanced safety systems. Geo-fencing automatically reduces power to «emergency mode» if the young rider moves too far away from the authorized riding area. Power can also be limited to the equivalent of 150 or 200cc and a maximum fork angle can be set to reduce the risk of injury. The integrated traction control system adapts to the surface (rain, mud, etc.) and for classic motorcycle fans there is a clutch simulation mode. The Xaber 300 will go on sale in the spring or summer of 2026 at a price of $5300.

Segway Muxi — is an all-electric «mama-chari» type of bike popular in Japan for transporting kids and shopping. It has a 750-watt direct-drive rear motor with 80 N-m peak torque. With a weight of 33 kg, the bike can support a total load of up to 190 kg, including a rear passenger and front rider. Wide 20-inch (5-inch) tires provide stability, while a cup holder, traction control, hill start assist and descent control make rides safer for parents. Top speed in Class 2 mode is 20 mph (32 km/h), and range reaches 128 kilometers. The Muxi will go on sale in March 2026 at a price of $1700.

The Segway Myon model is designed in the style of a city bike. It features a 500-watt motor with 85 N-m peak torque and a Shimano CUES electronic 9-speed drivetrain. The bike supports Class 1, 2 and 3 modes with a top speed of up to 28 mph (45 km/h) and a range of up to 128 km. The Myon is rated for up to 136 kg and features a front shock fork with 80 mm of travel for greater comfort. Unlike the Muxi, there is no hill start assist, hill descent assist or traction control. The Myon is available now from Segway dealers for $2000.

The two urban models feature hydraulic disc brakes, automatic lighting, a 2.4-inch TFT display and support additional subscription-based features including navigation, anti-theft alarm, remote locking and Apple Find My. Additional accessories — such as an automatic Xiro seatpost, rear-view radar and a passenger carrying kit — will be available in the first quarter of 2026.
