Casio and Porter unveiled the limited edition G-Shock x POTR DW-5600 watch
Casio has once again teamed up with Japanese handbag maker Porter to release a special edition watch called the G-Shock x POTR DW-5600. Like the previous model created under this collaboration, the new product will be sold exclusively in Japan — only in Porter branded stores and the online store of parent company Yoshida & Co.
The watch gets turquoise-blue accents on the case and strap. The LCD display features a hidden POTR logo that only becomes visible when the backlight is turned on. The stainless steel case back is engraved with the brand’s signature smiley face, while the polymer strap features the «POTR» and «YOSHIDA & Co.» logos.

While the 2023 collaboration model was based on the DW-5900-1 and used electroluminescent backlighting, the new version is based on the G-Shock DW-5600UE-1 — an updated interpretation of the classic DW-5600E-1 first released in 2012. It replaces the traditional EL backlight with a modern, bright Super Illuminator LED. It provides a crisp white glow while also increasing battery life — up to five years of use from a single CR2016 battery.

Functionality and design remain unchanged. The watch is still shockproof, water-resistant to 200 meters, with a mineral glass and standard features such as a stopwatch with 1/100th of a second accuracy and intermediate results, a 24-hour countdown timer with auto-repeat, a multifunctional alarm clock and an alarm light.

The G-Shock x POTR DW-5600 will go on sale in Japan on January 10, priced at 25,300 yen (approximately $162).
