CES 2026: Razer unveiled Project Motoko, an audio headset with AI and vision for everyday tasks and robot training

Razer has announced Project Motoko — an unusual audio headset designed for both everyday use and for professionals involved in artificial intelligence training.

The device can be described as an AR headset without a screen. It has two cameras built into it, which allows the AI to «see» everything the user sees in real time and can answer questions about the world around it. Project Motoko supports a variety of AI platforms, including Gemini, Grok and OpenAI.

Interaction with the AI is done by voice — the headset uses built-in near- and far-field microphones to accurately pick up speech and sounds from all directions. The AI responses are played back through full-size speakers in the headphones. At the heart of the device is a Snapdragon processor that provides local processing, as well as AI and XR-related capabilities, though specific specs were not disclosed.

Besides helping with everyday tasks — such as retelling text in the user’s field of view or answering questions about objects around — Project Motoko can also be used to train humanoid robots. The cameras are placed at approximately eye level to maximize the accuracy of the human visual perspective. In this way, humanoid systems can learn to repeat human actions with high accuracy.

Razer says that interested users and developers can already sign up for notifications when Project Motoko becomes available.
