CES 2026: Lenovo has updated the Yoga 7a Transformers

At CES 2026, among the many laptops Lenovo unveiled, the Yoga 2-in-1 lineup received an update. As expected, the devices retain the 360-degree hinge, which allows the laptop to be used in both tablet mode and in the classic format.

The Lenovo Yoga 7a 2-in-1 14- and 16-inch models are powered by the new AMD Ryzen AI 400 series Gorgon Point APUs — up to the Ryzen AI 7 445 with 6 cores and 12 threads. The laptops will be available with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X-7500 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen4 M.2 storage. Graphics are handled by an integrated Radeon 840M core, with no discrete graphics cards available.

The 14-inch version of the Yoga 7a has a touchscreen OLED display with a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Lenovo claims the panel has a brightness of up to 1,000 nits, which makes the image rich and detailed. The 16:10 aspect ratio screen is well suited for creative tasks, especially given the claimed 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and color accuracy with a Delta E of less than 1.

The laptops feature a 70Wh battery, which is charged using the included 65W USB-C adapter. The devices weigh about 1.4 pounds for the 14-inch model and 1.8 pounds for the 16-inch model, making them fairly easy to carry around. The port set includes two USB 3.2 Type-C (up to 10Gbps), one USB Type-A (10Gbps), HDMI 2.1, an audio jack, and an SD card slot.

Additional features include — a four-speaker audio system (two 2-watt woofers and two 2-watt tweeters), a 5MP front camera, an IR camera for facial recognition, a large 90cm² touchpad, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
