CES 2026: Motorola reveals the foldable Razr Fold with stylus support
At CES 2026, Motorola unveiled a new device in its lineup of foldable smartphones — the Razr Fold, marking a shift from the familiar foldable to the «book» format. Although a number of specifications have not yet been revealed, the manufacturer has confirmed the form factor, display size, camera configuration and stylus support, which makes it clear enough to understand the positioning of the new product.
The Razr Fold is Motorola’s first foldable book-type smartphone: the device unfolds horizontally, like a compact tablet, rather than folding vertically. Inside is a flexible 8.1-inch LTPO display with 2K resolution that’s designed for work, content consumption and multitasking. When folded, users have access to a large 6.6-inch external screen, which is virtually identical in functionality to a regular smartphone display and allows them to perform everyday tasks without having to unfold the device.
Special attention has been paid to the shooting capabilities. The Razr Fold has a triple main camera, where all modules have a resolution of 50 megapixels. It includes a Sony LYTIA main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle camera with macro capability, and a periscopic telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, there are two front-facing cameras: 32MP on the external display and 20MP on the internal display. Video recording supports Dolby Vision, emphasizing the device’s focus on premium content.

On the software side, Motorola is focusing on features tailored to the foldable form factor: flexible interfaces, adaptive element placement, improved multitasking, and smarter app behavior. The Razr Fold also supports the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, expanding the ability to take notes, draw and work with content — a feature still rare for foldable smartphones. The device will be available in Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White, continuing the brand’s design philosophy.
Official pricing has not yet been announced, but leaks and industry sources suggest that the Razr Fold could have a starting price of around $1,500. More details on pricing and availability are expected closer to the global launch, scheduled for summer 2026.
