CES 2026: HP unveiled the HyperX Origins 2 line of gaming keyboards
Besides new gaming laptops and desktops, HP showed off several accessories for gamers at CES 2026. Of particular note was the HyperX Origins 2 series, which includes three new gaming keyboards designed to cater to different user preferences.
The HyperX Origins 2 series of gaming keyboards is the first of its kind to be unveiled at CES 2026.
The lineup includes the HyperX Origins 2 Pro 65 — a 65% compact keyboard with Hall-effect magnetic switches. HP says the linear magnetic switches provide smoother key travel, while a clean and accurate sound is achieved by securing the board with an O-ring. The keyboard case is in an interchangeable format, allowing users to change the look of the device. It’s also claimed to support Rapid Trigger technology for the most responsive keystrokes and an 8kHz polling rate, which should minimize input latency.
The HyperX Origins 2 65 without the Pro prefix retains the 8kHz polling rate, but uses classic mechanical switches instead of magnetic switches. The keyboard also features a replaceable case and hot-swap switch support. HyperX Linear Red switches are standard.

The third new product —HyperX Origins 2 1800. This is a full-size keyboard in a more compact layout. Like the other models in the series, it features a replaceable case, but uses conventional linear mechanical switches similar to those found in the Origins 2 65. Magnetic switches are not included in this version.
Origins 2 1800 supports an 8kHz sampling rate and O-ring board mounting, which the company claims provides a deeper sound and softer click response. All three keyboards are wired-only and feature individual RGB backlights for each key.
H HP hasn’t disclosed pricing and launch date information yet. As a point of reference, the previous-generation HyperX Origins 65 keyboard started at $99.99.
