CES 2026: Dell unveiled UltraSharp 52 – 6K monitor with Thunderbolt 4 hub

Dell has brought to market the UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor, a 52-inch 6K display designed to replace two or more screens, with simultaneous support for up to four PCs and Macs and a built-in Thunderbolt 4 hub.

The new monitor is aimed at professional workplaces and is intended to replace a bunch of multiple displays with a single ultra-wide screen, according to the manufacturer. At 52 inches, it has a footprint comparable to two or even three standard monitors.

The display resolution is 6,144 × 2,560 pixels. Dell notes that this configuration outperforms a 43-inch 4K monitor combined with two 27-inch QHD screens in terms of pixel count. At the same time, the pixel density is 25% higher than that of a similar set at 129 ppi. That’s not quite as high as Retina, but the company claims it’s enough for a comfortable experience on a large screen without any noticeable loss of sharpness.

The device uses an IPS Black panel with a 2000:1 contrast ratio and deeper blacks than conventional IPS matrices. It has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, making it suitable not only for office use, but also for professional graphics and video work.

Dell has also emphasized on reducing the strain on vision. The manufacturer claims the UltraSharp 52 emits up to 60 percent less blue light than comparable solutions while maintaining professional color reproduction. A built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature to ambient conditions during the workday.

A key feature of the model is the integrated Thunderbolt 4 hub. The monitor connects to your main Mac or PC with a single cable and can simultaneously deliver up to 140 watts of power. The front panel has retractable quick-access ports: two USB-C ports with up to 27W of power and one USB-A port with 10W of power.

The chassis also houses four USB-A 10Gbps ports, three USB-C 10Gbps ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI ports, and a 2.5Gbps Ethernet network port. This configuration allows the monitor to be used as a central hub for connecting peripherals.

UltraSharp 52 supports up to four PCs and Macs simultaneously. Built-in multi-stream transport, combined with advanced picture-in-picture mode, allows you to segment the screen between multiple sources. Complementing this capability is a built-in KVM switch that allows all connected systems to be controlled by a single keyboard and mouse connected directly to the monitor.

The Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (model U5226KW) goes on sale January 6. The cradle version is priced at $2,899.99, while the non-cradle version will cost $2,799.99.
