CES 2026: Narwal Flow 2 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner unveiled
Narwal demonstrated at CES 2026 how far robotic vacuum cleaner technology has come by introducing the Narwal Flow 2 Ultra — the successor to the Narwal Flow, which was released last year. While the first version already stood out for its precise navigation and self-cleaning base, the Flow 2 Ultra takes the next step forward by solving one of the main problems of such devices: understanding the objects around it, rather than just going around them.
The Flow 2 Ultra is a robotic vacuum cleaner that can be used to navigate around objects, rather than just avoiding them.
Narwal Flow 2 Ultra has been given so-called «limitless object recognition». The new NarGPT AI model and a pair of RGB cameras are responsible for this. Unlike the traditional approach, where the robot is guided by a predefined list of obstacles, the new model is able to constantly recognize and react to new objects in real time.
Object recognition in robot vacuum cleaners — is not new, but Narwal has gone a step further by allowing the device to change behavior based on the type of object detected. The company says the Flow 2 Ultra can clean up to 1 centimeter away from cables and furniture legs to maximize coverage, but it deliberately stays away from potentially dangerous objects, such as pet feces, to avoid smearing dirt around the house.

One of the most unusual features was the ability to search for pets. Using cameras, the robot can scan the apartment on command, find the pet and show its location remotely. What’s more, Flow 2 Ultra automatically detects areas of high pet activity for more thorough cleaning and offers «smart companion» mode, which allows video communication with the pet through the robot and even interaction with it using special voice effects.
The Flow 2 Ultra also offers a smart companion mode, which allows you to interact with your pet through the robot and even interact with it using special voice effects.

In addition, the device has modes for families with young children. The robot is able to automatically go into ultra-quiet mode near the crib, recognize toys and send reminders if they’re left scattered, and avoid play mats to keep crawling areas clean.
The robot is also capable of automatically switching to ultra-quiet mode near the crib, recognizing toys and sending reminders if they’re left scattered, and avoiding play mats to keep crawling areas clear.
An additional feature set is the Smart Valuables Guard, which notifies the user if the robot finds valuable items nearby.
