CES 2026: Withings unveils Body Scan 2 smart scale

At CES 2026, Withings announced the new Body Scan 2 smart scale, which the manufacturer claims is the first home scale that can detect signs of certain cardiovascular problems, including the risk of hypertension.

Withings Body Scan 2 combines a floor scale and a retractable handle with electrodes. In about 90 seconds, the device analyzes more than 60 different biomarkers. Some of these have never been used before in the Body Scan lineup, and some features Withings calls unique to home scales.

One of the key new features was the notification of the risk of arterial hypertension. The scale determines it without the use of a cuff by applying a special AI model to analyze the state of the blood vessels. This makes it possible to detect one of the main risk factors for stroke at an early stage. Another new feature is the detection of possible glycemic dysregulation, which can serve as an early signal of prediabetes. The Body Scan 2 is also the first home scale to support impedance cardiography (ICG), which helps assess how the heart pumps blood and what factors may be affecting it.

Withings says many of these measurements are clinically validated and are designed to help users pay attention to lifestyle factors that typically go unnoticed.

The company emphasizes that Body Scan 2 aims to combat the main enemy of longevity — the hidden physiological impact of modern lifestyles. Sedentary behavior, chronic stress, sleep problems and an unbalanced diet gradually disrupt the body, often without obvious symptoms. If not detected in time, these changes can lead to chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, atrial fibrillation and heart failure.

The scale also calculates a measure of «health trajectory» that visualizes how lifestyle changes can affect long-term health.

Like Withings’ other smart scales, the Body Scan 2 supports synchronization with external services, including Fitbit, via Android Health Connect. The device lasts up to 15 months without charging and transmits data via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Withings Body Scan 2 can also synchronize with external services, including Fitbit, via Android Health Connect.

Withings Body Scan 2 will start selling in the second quarter of 2026. It will be priced at $599.
