WhatsApp has announced an iPad app

Popular messenger WhatsApp has hinted at launching an iPad app for the first time. The new version will complement its existing iPhone and Mac apps.

The official WhatsApp social network X account today published an eyeball emoji in response to a post asking the company to release an iPad app. The post could be a hint that the company is preparing to introduce a full-fledged version of WhatsApp for Apple tablets. The iPad app has already been available for testing through the TestFlight program for almost two years, and now the launch of a public version looks like a matter of time.

So the company that owns WhatsApp is gradually expanding support for tablets. Currently, only one other social network offers an official iPad app, while Threads is still only available on the iPhone.

At the moment, the social network is not offering an official app for the iPad, while Threads is still only available on the iPhone.
