LG has launched the 136-inch Magnit Active Micro LED display
LG has officially revealed its most impressive home theater solution yet. The giant 136-inch Magnit Active Micro LED display, first unveiled in South Korea earlier this year, is now available for buyers ready to turn a media room into a full private movie theater.
This device is hard to call a traditional TV. The design is assembled from four 68-inch bezel-less panels that combine to form a single 136-inch screen with 4K (3,840 × 2,160) resolution. Each panel is equipped with a Micro LED module with a pixel pitch of 0.78 mm and a native resolution of 480 × 540. When assembled, the entire system weighs approximately 175 lbs. Because each pixel is a separate LED, the screen delivers the deep black color and minimal light scattering characteristic of Micro LED technology.
LG doesn’t skimp on specs, either. Peak brightness of up to 1,700 nits is claimed, with approximately 300 nits across the screen area and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. HDR10 and HDR10 Pro are supported, and the refresh rate reaches 144Hz. Controls are webOS 23 — with the usual streaming services, AirPlay 2, Miracast, cable and terrestrial TV inputs, and HDMI sources.
At the same time, it’s also equipped with the usual cable and terrestrial TV inputs and HDMI sources.

The display has a 100W speaker built into it. The average power consumption is about 650 watts, at maximum load — up to 1,800 watts. In standby mode, the screen can be used as a panel for displaying digital art — from personal photos to classic paintings.
LG makes it clear that this model is aimed at premium homes and individual movie rooms — it’s not an «every day» device for the bedroom. That said, the company’s OLED lineup remains a more affordable choice for connoisseurs of OLED’s trademark contrast.
With the release of the Magnit Active, LG emphasizes that the era of modular wall-scale Micro LED screens is no longer a concept and is becoming a reality.
