Adobe continues to strengthen its strategy to attract users to its ecosystem through artificial intelligence. The company said it is adding features from Photoshop, Express and Acrobat to ChatGPT, allowing users to access chat to edit images, modify PDFs or animate elements.

It’s now possible to ask ChatGPT to use Photoshop to fix parts of an image, remove or blur the background, adjust exposure, brightness, and contrast, and apply various effects. ChatGPT will also prompt you to change the intensity of the effects using the built-in sliders.

If necessary, you can switch to Adobe applications themselves to complete tasks manually or use features not available in the ChatGPT interface.
Adobe says the new features are available globally. Features in all three apps work in the desktop version of ChatGPT, on the web and in the iOS app. On Android, only Adobe Express is supported for now, but support for Photoshop and other tools is coming soon.
Adobe has been actively developing AI tools this year. In October, the company released AI assistants for Express and Photoshop, and revealed a cross-platform assistant called Project Moonlight.
It’s not yet known whether OpenAI and Adobe have a revenue-sharing agreement.Support for third-party apps in ChatGPT was introduced in October — with Canva, Spotify, Expedia and Figma being the first. Now the challenge for companies is to convince users to choose their services inside ChatGPT. For example, images can be edited in both Canva and Photoshop via chat, and if a user doesn’t work with either platform, they may not have a preference.
