Steam Awards 2025: Hollow Knight Silksong is Game of the Year

Valve has summarized the results of its annual Steam Awards 2025, the winners of which are chosen by the platform’s users. According to the company, 43.8 million people participated in the voting. Any Steam account could participate without restrictions, and each user could vote once in each of the eleven categories.

The award for best VR game of the year went to The Midnight Walk. Supergiant Games’ Hades 2 was named Best Steam Deck Game, and the award for Outstanding Visual Style went to Silent Hill F.

Baldur’s Gate 3, which previously won several «Game of the Year» awards in 2023, won the Labor of Love award this time around. Valve noted that despite the project’s age, the developers continue to actively support and develop the game, giving it attention long after its release.
