Dell officially unveiled the Alienware 16 Area-51 gaming laptop at CES 2026. The novelty is focused on maximizing performance and was one of the key premieres of the brand at the event.

The laptop can be equipped with Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors. Three M.2 slots are available for storage, which together support up to 12TB of PCIe storage – each slot can accommodate SSDs up to 4TB.

Graphics are handled by an NVIDIA GeForce GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, but you can choose RTX 5080 or RTX 5070 Ti versions if you want. Dell emphasizes that the advanced cooling system allows for higher power consumption limits while keeping temperatures low.

On the front, there’s a 16-inch OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate, peak brightness up to 620 nits in HDR mode, and an extended color space coverage of 120% DCI-P3.

  • three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports
  • two Thunderbolt 5 ports
  • HDMI 2.1
  • 3.5mm audio jack
  • SD card slot

Other features of the Alienware 16 Area-51 include a 96Wh battery, the option of a low-profile Cherry MX mechanical keyboard, and an updated, concise design. Dell plans to start selling the laptop in the first quarter of 2026, but the price of the device has not been disclosed yet.
