IFA 2025: Acer updates gaming laptops and monitors

Acer unveiled updates to two of its gaming lines at once at IFA 2025. Among the new additions are a giant 18-inch Predator laptop, an ultra-high refresh rate monitor, and several budget Nitro models.
Acer’s new Predator laptops and monitors will be available in a range of sizes.
Predator Helios 18P AI is an even more powerful version of the Helios 18 shown at CES 2024, with “desktop-level AI” in a portable package. Inside, an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 mobile graphics card, and up to 6TB SSD are available. The laptop features a Mini LED 4K screen suitable for gaming and creative tasks. It’s cooled by Acer’s proprietary cooling system with thin metal fans, liquid metal-based thermal paste, and heat pipes.

The company also unveiled the Predator Orion 7000 and Orion 5000 gaming desktops with GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 GPUs, respectively. The Predator X27U F8 is a 26.5-inch OLED monitor with 2560×1440 resolution and an incredible 720Hz refresh rate. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro is supported to eliminate image tearing and twitching.
