JBL unveiled the giant PartyBox 720 speaker and the updated Boombox 4

JBL has announced the new PartyBox 720, the largest portable party speaker in the company’s history. The device is truly impressive in size and features a rechargeable battery that can be replaced.
The speaker puts out 800 watts of power and provides up to 15 hours of battery life. Inside, there are two 9-inch subwoofers and a pair of 30mm tweeters. AI Sound Boost technology enhances sound without distortion. The PartyBox 720 supports multi-speaker connectivity via Auracast and also features USB-C for direct audio streaming.

For parties, there’s a light bar synchronized to the music, and a pair of XLR jacks for connecting microphones, guitars or DJ remotes – perfect for karaoke. The new product is priced at $1,099. Pre-orders are now open, and first shipments will begin on September 21.
The company also unveiled the updated Boombox 4, a follow-up to last year’s Boombox 3. It features AI Sound Boost for louder, more distortion-free sound, is nearly a pound lighter, and is IP68 water and dust resistant.

The Boombox 4 runs up to 28 hours on a single charge and features a replaceable battery. It also supports Auracast technology for connecting multiple devices. It’s available in three colors and is priced at $550, with shipments starting September 28.
