Honor has officially announced the launch of its new Win line of cybersports-focused smartphones, confirming the name of the series and the date of the first public event – December 16.

Honor has for the first time officially confirmed the existence of a new smartphone series called Win. The brand published the first teaser on its Weibo page, putting an end to months of rumors about preparing a separate e-sports lineup. The announcement also states that Honor will hold a communications event on December 16 to celebrate the new devices.

The event’s tagline reads “Exceptional Strength, Born to Win,” emphasizing the focus on performance and gaming positioning. In the teaser image released, the entire screen is filled with the word “WIN,” which is a clear endorsement of the series’ name and visual identity.

Win series will replace Honor GT

The Honor Win series will replace the Honor GT lineup, which didn’t debut until 2024. The smartphone, which was previously expected to be called Honor GT 2, will now reportedly come out as a member of the new Win series. Thus, the GT brand is temporarily leaving the market, giving way to a new cybersporting concept.

R renders of Honor Win devices have previously appeared online, indirectly confirming the lineup’s readiness for an imminent launch. Both smartphones get a rectangular main camera module with the Win logo in the bottom right corner. The camera unit includes three sensors on both models.

The rumored series will consist of two devices – Honor Win and Honor Win Pro. The base model of Honor Win is expected to come in several colors including beige, black, white and blue.

On the hardware side, Honor Win is attributed to a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, while Honor Win Pro could be equipped with the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Both smartphones will reportedly get a 1.5K OLED display, a 50-megapixel main camera, and an 8,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.”
