Vivo has officially unveiled the Vivo Pad 5 Pro Soft Light Edition tablet in China. The new version retains most of the features of the standard Pad 5 Pro released earlier this year, but gets an updated soft-light screen focused on enhancing visual comfort.
Vivo Pad 5 Pro Soft Light Edition features a 13-inch display with 3.1K resolution (3,096 × 2,064 pixels), 3:2 aspect ratio and peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. The screen supports a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and animations, and a special soft light coating reduces glare and eye strain during prolonged use.

The company utilizes two-way light input technology, which improves backlight efficiency while reducing power consumption. It also claims an ecosystem-level color management system that ensures accurate and consistent color reproduction in applications and multimedia content.

The flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor is responsible for performance. The tablet is equipped with a large 40,600mm² VC cooling system to ensure stable performance without overheating.
The device runs OriginOS 5, offering advanced multitasking and productivity features. The tablet supports PC-level WPS document handling and is equipped with AI tools to handle complex work scenarios. The cameras remain unchanged: 13MP on the back and 8MP on the front for video calling and everyday tasks.
A 12,050mAh battery with 66W fast charging support is responsible for battery life. The tablet also gets an eight-channel surround-sound audio system geared toward multimedia consumption.
The body is just 5.96mm thick and weighs — 578 grams, making the device quite thin and light for its class. To enhance the experience, Vivo offers branded accessories including the Pencil 3 stylus, the Smart Touch Keyboard 5 Pro and the Smart Dual-Sided Protective Case 5 Pro.
Vivo Pad 5 Pro Soft Light Edition is available in two configurations: a version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs 3,699 yuan (about $524), while a variant with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at 4,199 yuan (about $595).
