CES 2026: Acer updated the Swift 16 AI laptop with Intel Panther Lake processors
Acer has unveiled an updated version of its Swift 16 AI laptop as part of its presentation at CES 2026. Previously, this 16-inch laptop was equipped with Intel Lunar Lake processors, but now the manufacturer is taking a step forward and preparing a model with next-generation Panther Lake chips. In the maximum configuration Swift 16 AI will get Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor, although the full list of available Panther Lake variants Acer does not disclose yet.
The Core Ultra X9 388H processor includes 16 compute cores and 12 Xe3 graphics cores combined as Arc B390 integrated graphics. The notebook will be configurable with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2TB of M.2 SSD. These components are paired with a 16:10 OLED display, which is offered in two variants: 1200p resolution and 250 nits of brightness or 1800p resolution and 340 nits of brightness. In both cases, the screen offers 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

Whatever configuration you choose, the Swift 16 AI will feature a 70Wh battery, a tactile touchpad with vibration response, and support for Wi-Fi 7.
Acer has confirmed that the laptop will go on sale by the end of this quarter, but that timeline may only apply to eurozone markets. The company has not disclosed information about the device’s price at this time.
