Assassin’s Creed Red character has appeared online

Potential Assassin’s Creed Red character art has appeared on the LinkedIn profile of one of the game’s writers. The image, which at the time of writing the news was on writer Pierre Boudreau’s profile shows that it could be a character from the new installment of Red. The character, standing in front of a Japanese castle, is wearing the game’s signature assassin cloak.

If true, this is the first image from a game in the Japan franchise since a teaser confirmed the existence of the upcoming game. Ubisoft revealed its plan for the Assassin’s Creed franchise last September, announcing Codename Red as one of six upcoming installments in the series.

The company said the next two flagship games after this year’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage, released this year under the codenames Red and Hexe, will be released as part of the franchise’s new Infinity Center, a live-action initiative announced for 2021.
