Xiaomi 17 is gearing up for a global debut after a successful release in China

After the success of the Xiaomi 17 in China in September 2025, news of an imminent international debut has surfaced. New certification and benchmark results suggest that the smartphone will soon be available outside of China. Specifically, it has been spotted in Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) database under model number 25113PN0EG, which confirms its possible release in the region and confirms the model’s name.

Xiaomi 17 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and 12GB of RAM, which is the same as the Chinese version. The smartphone runs Android 16’s proprietary HyperOS 3 shell, and benchmark results in GeekBench confirm strong performance, especially in AI features. The Xiaomi 17 series also includes a Pro version, over which a HyperOS 3.0.34.0 build is being tested with a new interactive “Sugar Crumb” wallpaper for an additional display. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra model is expected to debut soon, and pre-orders could start as early as December 15, 2025.
