Activision has officially dropped the online requirement for the PC version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 — but only on Steam Deck. Unlike console owners of the game, PC players must have had an internet connection since the game’s release on the Epic Games Store in September 2020.

Activision released Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 for Steam earlier this month with the same requirement. However, the company said Wednesday that it has released an update for the game that allows Steam Deck users to play offline and also fixes keyboard overlap for players on Valve’s handheld.

The company hasn’t explained why the requirement for online play has been removed for Steam Deck only, which has displeased some Windows and Linux users. However, players have reportedly found a workaround that allows all PC users to play offline, at least for the time being.
