Pixel Watch 4 revealed in new renders with updated colors and straps

New images released shortly before the Pixel Watch 4’s official announcement show Google’s smartwatch in fresh colors and with thin bezels around the screen. The update isn’t radical, but some changes are noticeable.
New case and a third charging system
The Pixel Watch 4 looks a lot like the previous generation. However, one of the main innovations is the redesigned charging system. The fourth version uses a side connector with pins, the third charging option in the Pixel Watch lineup. The new cable connects from the side, rather than from the bottom as before.
Sizes and colors
According to a leak from Android Headlines, the watch will be available in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm. The color palette of the case is almost unchanged, except for the introduction of a new Moonstone shade. It replaces the dark green color of the Pixel Watch 3 (45mm) and is expected to be available for the smaller variant as well.
New straps and materials
Google has also updated its strap lineup. The Active Band will be available in Obsidian, Porcelain, and Moonstone colors. The Sport Band will be available in Indigo, Limoncello and Iris shades. It’s also confirmed that the Stretch Band will remain exclusive to the 41mm version.
Special attention is paid to materials: the Active Band uses a new coating, different from the fluoroelastomer used in previous generations. This can affect both the comfort of the wearer and the longevity of the accessory.
What’s wrong with the screen?
The Pixel Watch 4 was rumored to get thinner bezels around the display. Judging by the images, the bezels have indeed shrunk slightly, but visually, the difference is minimal.
