Samsung has unveiled a new 60W charger

Samsung is preparing to move its flagships to faster wired charging. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the company’s first smartphone to support power above 45W, and to that end, Samsung is launching a new 60W charger.

The model is called the Samsung 60W Power Adapter (EP-T6010NBEGWWW). It has already appeared on Samsung’s official websites in various regions.

The charger has a single USB-C port and supports Super Fast Charging 2.0 technology. The manufacturer highlights the low standby power consumption — just 5mW. USB-PD (5V, 15V, 20V) and PPS (5-20V) standards up to 3A are supported. There is no AVS support.

The previous 45W branded charger (EP-T4511XBEGGB) provided up to 3A at 15V and 2.25A at 20V, which limited power at 45W. The new model removes these limitations.

Samsung notes that the adapter fits not only smartphones, but also Galaxy tablets and Galaxy Book laptops. No current Galaxy tablet supports charging faster than 45W, but the upcoming Tab S12 series could change that. Galaxy Book laptops are already compatible with charging up to 65W.

For safety, there’s overheat protection, overcurrent protection, and short-circuit protection. The adapter is also designed with a focus on low electrical noise. In Europe, the Samsung 60W Power Adapter is priced at €53 and is only available in black.
