Dreame Cyber X has become the world’s first robot vacuum cleaner for cleaning stairs

Dreame Technology unveiled its new smart home solutions at IFA 2025 in Berlin. The main event was the Dreame Cyber X robot vacuum cleaner, the world’s first model capable of climbing stairs using the unique QuadTrack system. The development opens a new stage in the evolution of home cleaning and eliminates the need to carry a robot vacuum cleaner manually in high-rise buildings. Also at IFA 2025, Anker unveiled their vision for moving vacuum cleaners up and down stairs, they presented the Eufy MarsWalker, a system that carries a robot vacuum cleaner up or down.

The Eufy MarsWalker is a robotic vacuum cleaner that can be moved up or down stairs.

Dreame Cyber X: the new standard for smart cleaning

Cyber X is a complete ecosystem for cleaning multiple floors. At its core is the robotic vacuum cleaner itself, the QuadTrack bionic stair climbing system and the base station.

When Cyber X needs to move to another floor, it automatically docks with the QuadTrack platform™, which works like a mini elevator. The system gently carries the device to the next level, after which the robot continues cleaning without human intervention. When the job is done, the process is repeated in reverse.

This approach solves a major problem with traditional robot vacuum cleaners: the inability to clean stairs and maintain multiple floors without manual intervention.

Cyber X Technologies

Dreame engineers have equipped the new product with a number of innovative solutions:

  • Bionic QuadTrack is a system that can lift the vacuum cleaner up to 25 cm high steps at a speed of 0.2 m/sec. The technology dynamically adapts to different step geometries and widths to ensure a smooth and safe ride.
  • Triple Braking Protection is a three-level protection with independent brakes and rubber treads for reliable traction. It eliminates slipping on parquet, tile and carpet.
  • Triple Braking Protection
  • Smart 3DAdapt is a structured light laser and camera with artificial intelligence. The system builds a 3D map of the staircase in real time, calculating the depth, angle and height of each step.
  • Smart 3DAdapt is a laser with structured light and a camera with artificial intelligence.
  • The 6400 mAh batteries – both the vacuum cleaner and the QuadTrack system™, allowing you to clean up to five floors in a row.

These technologies make the Cyber X the first commercial example of a robotic solution for multi-level spaces.

Why the Cyber X could change the market

The arrival of the Cyber X marks a shift to a new level of robotization of home appliances. While earlier generations of robotic vacuums could only clean within a single floor, users will now be able to fully automate the cleaning of their entire home, including stairs.

The Cyber X is the first robotic vacuum cleaner that can be used to clean the entire house, including stairs.
