The watch has an unusual octagonal case with a hinged camera module. This design allows your child to easily switch between the front and main cameras, while animated effects make the interaction more visual and fun. There’s a 5-megapixel camera on the front for video calls and selfies, and an 8-megapixel camera on the back for capturing everyday moments.
The device features a 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 × 450 pixels. Inside, there’s 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The watch supports fast charging — up to 50 percent of the battery is replenished in about 30 minutes. The built-in 740 mAh battery is rated for a full day of use, and a power-saving mode can be enabled to increase autonomy if needed. It’s also claimed to be waterproof to a depth of 20 meters.

The Xiaomi Kids Watch supports GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS systems for location tracking. Additionally, AI-assisted floor-accurate positioning is implemented to identify not only the building but also the specific level. Security features include — geofencing, school arrival notifications, movement history, and one-button SOS emergency call.

Parents can also link the watch to Xiaomi’s smart home system via the Xiao Ai voice assistant.
