Google I/O 2025: Expectations for Gemini updates, Android 16 and new AI technologies

A lot of exciting announcements and updates are expected at Google’s I/O 2025 conference, to be held May 20-21 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, especially in the areas of artificial intelligence and mobile technology. Here are the highlights that could be unveiled at the event:

1. Gemini updates and artificial intelligence

Google continues to aggressively develop its Gemini artificial intelligence models. A new Gemini Ultra is expected to be announced, which will be the flagship model in the Gemini lineup.
