Modern Warfare 3 Zombies: the best field improvements

In Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the familiar mechanics have been tweaked. The mode now feels more like an enhanced DMZ rather than the old format round. Field enhancements have been changed, both in terms of their effects and in the obtaining of them, specifically for this type of game.

In the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, there are six different field enhancements. They can be used on a timed map to increase your chances of survival. However, only one of them can be used at a time. At the beginning of the game, only one upgrade option is available, but as you level up, new ones are unlocked. Eventually, the question arises as to which upgrade is the best. Below is the answer to that question.

Healing Aura
Whether you’re playing as a team or solo, the Healing Aura field enhancement is the most useful enhancement to use in Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. When activated, this enhancement not only gives you and your allies immediate healing, but also instantly restores health to wounded players. The downside to this upgrade is that it has the slowest recovery time and is unlocked at level 19.
Additionally, this upgrade has the slowest recovery time and is unlocked at level 19.
Aether Shroud
Aether Shroud — another useful field enhancement you can use in Zombies mode. It makes you temporarily invulnerable to zombie attacks. Of course, it doesn’t make you completely invulnerable and enemies can still deal damage to you. However, if you are surrounded by zombies and have no way to quickly leave the area, this upgrade can save your life. It has a medium recovery rate and becomes available at level 39.

Frenzied Guard
Frenzied Guard — another field upgrade in the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with a number of advantages and disadvantages. When you use it, you instantly regenerate armor and attract the attention of nearby enemies for 10 seconds. In addition, all enemies killed during this time will also regenerate armor.
But this enhancement also has a disadvantage: it can be both useful and harmful depending on the circumstances. The recovery time of this enhancement is quite long and it becomes available at level 9.
All enemies killed during this time will also regenerate armor.
Frost Blast
Frost Blast — This field enhancement has the ability to shoot a freezing jet that slows down all enemies it hits and does a little damage. This option may not be bad, however it does not solve all problems. This enhancement becomes available at level 29.

Tesla Storm
Tesla Storm — is the latest field enhancement that becomes available at level 50. It has the ability to create a chain of lightning between you and the team, which deals damage and stuns nearby enemies. This can be useful in the final moments of the game when you need to hold out until evacuation. However, in other situations, this enhancement is not as useful. The recovery time of this enhancement is long.
Energy Mine
Energy Mine — Modern Warfare 3’s standard field enhancement and therefore the “weakest” on this list. This enhancement allows you to set a mine that, when detonated, damages enemies and stuns them. However, such traps are not often used in Zombies mode, except when you need to defeat a boss or wait for an evacuation helicopter. The recovery time of this enhancement is medium.
