LG unveiled the OLED evo M5 series of TVs with wireless video and sound transmission

LG has officially launched the OLED evo M5 series of OLED evo TVs to the global market following its debut at CES 2025. The new products combine G5-level picture quality with wireless signal transmission via Zero Connect Box technology.

The M5 series is now available for sale globally following its debut at CES 2025.

The M5 TVs aren’t just aimed at movie buffs, but gamers as well. The series supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, and is certified by Intertek for gaming performance. The claimed response time is less than 0.1ms. Consoles and other devices can be connected to the Zero Connect Box, a remote unit that sits separate from the TV, eliminating wire clutter.

LG’s proprietary True Wireless technology lets you stream audio and video in up to 4K resolution at 144Hz with low latency – without the need for a cable between the TV and the signal source. LG says the wireless performance is comparable to a wired connection.

Other features include support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Filmmaker Mode. Ambient Light Compensation adapts the image to ambient light. Alpha 11 AI Gen2 processor is responsible for image processing, while AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro technologies improve depth, detail, and create 11.1.2 sound. Brightness Booster Ultimate technology delivers high brightness to the screen.

The M5 Series has been verified by UL Solutions for Perfect Black and Perfect Color. Intertek confirmed 100 percent color accuracy and volume, and TÜV Rheinland gave the TV its highest rating for brightness clarity.

Prices for the series in Hong Kong are as follows:- 65 inches – HK$34,980 (about US$4456)- 75 inches – HK$67,980 (about US$8,660)- 83 inches – HK$92,980 (about US$11,845)- 97 inches – HK$299,980 (about US$38,220)

Sales have already started in Hong Kong, with other countries receiving the TVs in the coming weeks.
