CES 2025: Nvidia announces ,000 AI supercomputer

Nvidia unveiled a personal AI supercomputer called Project Digits at CES 2025, which will go on sale in May. This device, thanks to its new GB10 Grace Blackwell superchip, promises to deliver the power to run advanced AI models while remaining compact and affordable.

Compact size and powerful chip

The Project Digits supercomputer features a GB10 Grace Blackwell chip that provides incredible processing power, enough to handle models with up to 200 billion parameters. The Mac Mini-like device runs from a standard wall outlet and fits easily on a desktop.

The basic system costs $3,000 and includes:

    .

  • 128GB of unified memory, which is several times the RAM capacity of even the most powerful laptops.
  • Up to 4TB of NVMe storage for fast data processing.

For more complex tasks, two Project Digits systems can be combined to support models with up to 405 billion parameters, such as Meta* Llama 3.1.

Power optimized for AI

GB10 chip is capable of performing up to 1 petaflop of AI computations per second with FP4 precision, enabling faster processing through computational optimization. The device utilizes state-of-the-art CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores, as well as a Grace CPU with 20 energy-efficient cores based on the Arm architecture.

In collaboration with MediaTek, Nvidia has struck a balance between high performance and energy efficiency, making the system ideal for home and office designs.

Software and Features

Each Project Digits device comes with access to Nvidia software tools, including libraries, development kits, and pre-trained models from the Nvidia NGC catalog.

The device supports popular AI frameworks such as PyTorch, Python and Jupyter notebooks, and the Nvidia DGX OS provides a stable Linux-based experience. Users can use Nvidia NeMo to customize models, and Nvidia RAPIDS libraries to speed up processing.

With Grace Blackwell’s unified architecture, developers can develop and test models locally and then deploy them to the cloud or server infrastructure without the need for additional modifications.
