MSI unveiled the limited edition MEG X870E GODLIKE X EDITION motherboard for the 10th anniversary of the GODLIKE series

MSI has unveiled a new flagship motherboard, the MEG X870E GODLIKE X EDITION, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the GODLIKE series. As the name implies, it’s not a mass-market product, but rather an exclusive solution for enthusiasts and collectors.
MSI will release only 1,000 units worldwide. Each board will receive a unique serial number and a gold license plate. The X pattern and gold accents immediately emphasize the limited edition status. In addition, the board features a 3.99-inch Dynamic Dashboard III display that, when turned on, plays a special animation commemorating the series anniversary.
The motherboard also comes with exclusive accessories. These include a numbered M.2 Frost Armor heatsink with the same serial number as the board itself, a branded display stand, and a limited edition black dragon soft toy.
From a performance standpoint, the MEG X870E GODLIKE X EDITION lives up to its status as a no-compromise AM5 board. The power supply system is based on a 24 phase 110A + 2 + 1 power supply scheme, utilizing two 8-pin CPU power connectors and third generation titanium coated chokes. According to MSI, this configuration is designed for stable operation of AMD Ryzen 9000 processors, including extreme overclocking scenarios.
The memory system includes four DDR5 slots in dual-channel mode with support for up to 9000+ MT/s. There are five built-in M.2 slots for storage, and an M.2 XPANDER-Z SLIDER GEN5 expansion card is also included.
Expansion slots include two PCIe 5.0 x16 and one PCIe 4.0 x4, which is sufficient for both multigraphic configurations and specialized expansion cards.
For efficient cooling, MSI has implemented a sophisticated heat dissipation system: second-generation magnetic M.2 Frost Armor, massive dense finned heatsinks, cross-shaped heat pipes, and full coverage of VRM, chipset, and drive areas.
MEG X870E GODLIKE X EDITION motherboard is designed to provide efficient cooling.
The board also gets a number of EZ DIY features, including a quick graphics card eject button, tool-less M.2 mounts, and an EZ Bridge interface for easy system assembly.
In terms of connectivity, the MEG X870E GODLIKE X EDITION offers 10-gigabit and 5-gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Sound is handled by a fifth-generation audio module with support for 7.1-channel output, and all software settings are available through MSI Center.
The motherboard is currently on sale in China for 8,888 yuan, and it’s priced at $1,300 on MSI’s U.S. online store.
