HMD Pulse 2 Pro is revealed in Geekbench: the first specifications are known

A new HMD smartphone has appeared in the Geekbench database, which appears to be the HMD Pulse 2 Pro model. The device goes by the codename Pearl and is already revealing a few key hardware features.
The Geekbench listing shows a motherboard labeled ums9230_6h10. At first glance this might suggest the Unisoc T606 or T615 chipset, but the processor configuration tells a different story. The SoC features two 1.82GHz performance cores and six 1.61GHz energy-efficient cores, which is inconsistent with the T606 series, where all cores operate at the same frequency.
In terms of performance, this layout is much closer to the Unisoc T7250. This coincides with earlier leaks on the Pulse 2 Pro. They mentioned the T615 chip, but it’s now clear that this may have been an error, probably related to internal codename overlap.
The benchmark also confirms 4GB of RAM and the smartphone running Android 15. If Android 16 raises the minimum RAM requirements, the Pulse 2 Pro may switch to Android Go in the future to ensure long-term support.
According to recent reports, there could be more smartphones with 4GB of RAM on the market next year as memory prices continue to rise. By comparison, the 2024 Pulse Pro was offered in 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM versions, so it remains to be seen whether the Pulse 2 Pro will retain the 8GB option, especially given its budget positioning.
All in all, the test results point to a familiar formula for HMD’s low-cost devices. The Pulse 2 Pro appears to focus on basic functionality rather than high performance.
HMD hasn’t officially announced this smartphone yet, but appearances in benchmarks and leaks from retailers hint that a full-fledged unveiling could be imminent.
