NASA’s goal was to confirm or disprove that theory, so they developed a concept probe called Cryobot that will finally lift the veil of mystery over the waters of Jupiter and Saturn.
Cryobot is envisioned as a cylindrical body with ice heating and drilling capabilities, so it can melt the ice surface in front of it and penetrate the planet’s interior. It is equipped with a powerful nuclear power system, and its external design provides protection from high water pressure.
