NASA has unveiled a concept probe called Cryobot

For a long time, astrobiologists have speculated about the existence of alien life in the deep waters of distant planets. NASA’s goal was to confirm or disprove that theory, so they developed a concept probe called Cryobot that will finally lift the veil of mystery over the waters of Jupiter and Saturn.
Cryobot is envisioned as a cylindrical body with ice heating and drilling capabilities, so it can melt the ice surface in front of it and penetrate the planet’s interior. It is equipped with a powerful nuclear power system, and its external design provides protection from high water pressure.
Cryobot is designed to be protected from high water pressure.
The thermal management system maintains a safe temperature and distributes heat evenly throughout the system. In addition, the Cryobot is equipped with a water jet cleaning and cutting system to remove stones, solids and salt encased in ice.

Scientists attending the Cryobot presentation at the California Institute of Technology believe the idea is feasible, but note the importance of considered security and research into methods of communicating with the machine, including radio, acoustic and magnetic transceivers.
