Retro Watch — is a small emulator, similar in appearance to the Game Boy Advance SP, that when uncovered can be used to play games. It has the requisite set of buttons, speakers, magnetometer and accelerometer. The display measures 1.54 inches with a resolution of 320×320 pixels and supports 60Hz refresh. The built-in processor is capable of running games from older 8-bit and 16-bit platforms with better performance than systems from the Nintendo64 era.

When closed, the Retro Watch looks like a regular watch, displaying a variety of information. You can view smartphone notifications, send messages, and track activity. It works for up to two days in smartwatch mode and two to four hours in game mode — two to four hours.

The project has already raised enough money to start production. The creators plan to refine the “retro watch” by adding a metal case, heart rate tracking sensors, a microSD card slot, and even a camera.

The Retro Watch will cost $159 (14,300 rubles), and deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2024.
