Xiaomi E20 Cat Eye: smart door lock with night camera
By ForGeeks Xiaomi has announced an enhanced version of its E20 smart door lock called Cat Eye. Externally, it doesn’t differ much from the base model, but it has received additional features. The main innovation is a 2.3-megapixel camera with night vision function.
Xiaomi E20 Cat Eye offers a full-color night vision mode, as well as video calling and voice replacement functions. The latter is an added safety feature, especially for children at home without an adult present. The lock can also operate in alarm mode and simultaneously record events outside the door in real time.

The lock can be opened in a number of ways, including fingerprint, password (permanent or one-time), NFC, Bluetooth and standard key. AI 3D technology is claimed by the manufacturer to provide 99.2% fingerprint accuracy in half a second.
Xiaomi E20 Cat Eye supports Wi-Fi to communicate with other devices in the Mijia smart home ecosystem. The lock features a 5,000mAh battery that provides up to 7 months of battery life, and with backup batteries — up to 12 months. The device can be charged via the USB Type-C port.
