Microsoft may become the owner of the US division of TikTok. This information was confirmed by US President Donald Trump himself, who said that «there is a lot of interest in TikTok» when asked about Microsoft’s possible purchase of the app.

TikTok has 170 million users in the U.S., but U.S. authorities are concerned about the company’s owner, ByteDance’s ties to China. The company had until Jan. 19 to find a buyer, and now it has 75 days (until April 4) to complete the deal or face an injunction unless the U.S. president decides to delay the Supreme Court’s decision again.
