Dyson has introduced the AM15 bladeless fan heater

Dyson has launched a new model of the AM15 bladeless heater-fan in China, priced from 3,790 yuan (about $534). The device gets more powerful airflow, quieter operation and enhanced smart features, becoming a notable upgrade over the previous AM09 model.

AM15 utilizes proprietary Air Amplifier technology to create a steady, directional airflow. It has a delivery rate of up to 290 liters per second, ensuring faster and more even distribution of air around the room. According to Dyson, the new model heats a room up to 20% faster than its predecessors, making it more efficient in cold weather.

The company has redesigned the internal motor design, reducing noise levels by 25%. The system has a built-in noise suppressor and improved acoustic circuitry, making the AM15 suitable for use in bedrooms and other quiet areas. There’s also a night mode and sleep timer that reduces power and dims the display backlighting when it’s dark.

The appliance features a smart thermostat that monitors the room temperature and automatically adjusts the heat. It switches off when the set point is reached and switches back on when needed. Dyson claims this approach can reduce energy consumption by up to 30%. For safety, there is an automatic shut-off in the event of overheating or malfunction.

The AM15 supports control via the MyDyson app, allowing you to change the temperature, set the heating or cooling mode and pre-warm your room before you come home. It features an LCD display that shows the current temperature, flow rate, heating target and other information.

The unit can rotate 70 degrees horizontally and also has a 10-degree manual tilt adjustment. The bladeless design simplifies maintenance and eliminates exposed heating elements. The cabinet dimensions are 152×115×585 mm and heat-resistant plastic is used for increased safety.
