Honor Magic 8 RSR will be released on January 19 with a 7200 mAh battery and 1TB of storage
Honor has confirmed that it will hold a presentation on January 19 to show off the Magic 8 Pro flagship smartphone with a compact body. Today, the manufacturer published an image confirming the announcement of another model, the Honor Magic 8 RSR. The device will be an improved version of the Magic 8 Pro.
The official image shows two color variants of the Honor Magic 8 RSR – purple and black. The camera unit is shaped like a rounded square instead of the hexagonal shape used in the previous generation. Honor has not yet disclosed technical specifications, but a Chinese technology blogger has published detailed information about the novelty in the social network Weibo.
Screen and processor
According to the leak, the Honor Magic 8 RSR will feature a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and curved edges on all four sides. Inside will house a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The 7,200 milliamp-hour battery will support 120 watts of wired charging and 80 watts of wireless charging.

Memory and software platform
The memory configuration will reach 24 gigabytes of RAM and 1 terabyte of internal storage. The smartphone will run Magic OS 10, built on Android 16. The front camera will get a resolution of 50 megapixels.
Main cameras
The rear system includes three modules: a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 200-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens with triple optical zoom and stabilization.
Additional Features
The list of features will include an ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint scanner, 3D facial recognition, a dedicated button for the camera, and support for satellite communications. The case meets IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection standards.
