Redmi Note 15 and Note 5G to make their global debut

The global Redmi Note 15 lineup has been officially unveiled and the base model is once again coming in two variants. Users can get the Redmi Note 15 5G with slightly modified specifications for the international market, and the more affordable Redmi Note 15 with 4G support only. Visually, it is almost impossible to distinguish the smartphones — they have the same body design, displays and camera units.
At the same time, the Redmi Note 15 5G is available with slightly modified specifications for the international market.
The two global versions of the Redmi Note 15 feature curved 6.77-inch AMOLED screens with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Peak local brightness of up to 3,200 nits is claimed, as well as an optical fingerprint scanner embedded in the display.
Redmi Note 15 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and is available with 6, 8 or 12 GB of RAM, and 128, 256 or 512 GB of storage. The 4G version gets a MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra chip, 6GB or 8GB RAM and the same inbuilt storage options.
The two models feature a 108MP main camera with Samsung ISOCELL HM9 sensor and optical image stabilization. However, the 5G version additionally gets an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, while the 4G model is limited to a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera in both cases has a resolution of 20MP.
There are battery differences between the devices as well. The Redmi Note 15 has a 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging support. The Redmi Note 15 5G gets a slightly smaller 5520 mAh silicon-carbon battery, but with 45W faster charging. Both the smartphones run HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. The 4G version has an IP64 dust and water resistance rating, while the 5G model has been given a higher IP66 rating.

Redmi Note 15 is available in Glacier Blue, Purple, Forest Green and Black colors, and its price starts at £179 for the version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Redmi Note 15 5G will be sold in Glacier Blue, Mist Purple and Black colors, with a starting price of £199 for the 8/256GB configuration. Pre-orders are expected to start from January 5.
