Vivo unveils design and specs of V70 and V70 Elite ahead of February launch
Vivo has kicked off the teaser campaign for its V70 series in India, officially revealing the design and key specs of two models – the V70 and V70 Elite – on a dedicated page of its Indian website.
Here’s what to expect from the new lineup:
- OLED displays with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 5000 nits peak brightness
- Massive 6500mAh batteries with 90W fast charging
- 50MP primary cameras featuring optical image stabilization, plus periscope telephoto lenses offering 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom
According to the official page, the Vivo V70 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. However, earlier Geekbench leaks suggested that the V70 and V70 Elite will come equipped with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chips, respectively.

Display and software
The V70 series sports OLED panels with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an eye-popping peak brightness of 5000 nits. Both devices will run Android 16 layered with OriginOS 6, promising four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches. Under the hood, they’ll feature LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, with the base model offering 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

Flagship-grade cameras
The Vivo V70 lineup takes photography seriously, featuring a 50MP front camera with autofocus. The rear camera setup includes a flagship-level 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, an ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto shooter capable of 3x optical zoom and an incredible 100x digital zoom. It seems both models will share the exact same camera array.

Battery life and durability
The V70 and V70 Elite pack large 6500mAh batteries supported by 90W fast charging for quick top-ups. Both phones feature aluminum frames and bodies with IP68/69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The Indian launch is expected in February, though the exact date hasn’t been officially announced yet. Early teasers confirm that Vivo is positioning the V70 series as powerful contenders with serious photography capabilities and long-lasting battery life.
