Motorola Signature flagship with 165Hz screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and slim body unveiled
After weeks of leaks, Motorola has officially unveiled its new premium flagship called the Motorola Signature, which was previously rumored to come out as the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra. The smartphone comes with some impressive specs, including a 165Hz refresh rate display, the latest Snapdragon 8-series processor, and an ultra-thin body.
Motorola Signature features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 6,200 nits. The device runs Android 16 with the proprietary Hello UX shell.
The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, which is complemented by up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of onboard UFS 4.1 storage. Despite being only 6.99mm thick, there is a 5,200mAh battery inside based on silicon-carbon technology. The weight of the device is 186 grams. It supports 90W wired fast charging and 50W TurboPower wireless charging.


For taking selfies and video calls, there’s a 50-megapixel front camera based on Sony’s LYT-500 sensor. The main camera includes three 50-megapixel modules: a Sony LYT-828 main sensor with optical stabilization, an ultra-wide-angle camera with macro support, and a Sony LYT-600 periscopic telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom.
Motorola Signature is the company’s first smartphone with extended software support. The manufacturer promises up to 7 years of operating system updates and 7 years of security updates. In terms of ruggedness, the device features an aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, and MIL-STD-810H certification.

The Motorola Signature will be priced at €999 in the European market. The smartphone will also be available in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia Pacific in the coming months. The device will be available in Pantone colors including Carbon and Martini Olive.
