Blizzard games will be released on Steam, starting with Overwatch 2 in August

Blizzard Entertainment has announced plans to make «some» of its PC games available on Steam. The first game on Valve’s digital marketplace will be the free-to-play team-based shooter Overwatch 2, which is already available to order ahead of its Aug. 10 release.

To play on Steam, as on all other platforms, players will need to connect a Battle.Net account, which the company says will enable features such as cross-play. «Our goal at Blizzard —is to listen to players and strive to exceed their expectations in everything we do» —said company president Mike Ybarra.
