Citizen has introduced the CA4733-00L solar chronograph
Citizen has announced the new CA4733-00L — an Eco-Drive solar-powered chronograph housed in a 43mm diameter case with a rose gold-colored finish. The watch gets a textured blue dial and angular bezel, and is priced at $625.
The new model adds to the brand’s lineup of mid-size sports watches, and differs markedly from the brand’s recently introduced aviation chronographs. Instead of a pilot’s style, Citizen has opted for a more modern «integrated» design. The rose-gold-plated stainless steel case is combined with a blue dial decorated with a horizontal wave pattern. This background creates a high contrast with the rose gold-colored markers and hands, which has a positive effect on readability despite the complex layout with three subdials.
The 43mm-diameter case also gets a bezel with a blue insert that uses an angular geometric scale font. This visually distinguishes the model from classic diver’s or field watches with rounded numerals. A blue rubber or silicone strap completes the look, providing comfort for everyday wear.
Inside is the proven B620 Eco-Drive caliber. This quartz movement is capable of converting any light source into energy and keeping the watch running for months without recharging. It supports a chronograph with 1/5th of a second accuracy, a 24-hour indicator and a date window located at the 4:30 position. Overall, the Citizen CA4733-00L is aimed at buyers who value minimal maintenance, reliability and modern appearance combined with practical features.
