Honor has revealed the battery capacity of the ultra-thin Magic8 Pro Air
Honor is gearing up to officially unveil the Magic8 Pro Air smartphone on January 19 and is gradually revealing its specifications. The device will be the brand’s answer to the trend of ultra-thin flagships: the body is only 6.1 mm thick and weighs — 155 grams. At the same time, the smartphone will get a triple main camera, including a 50-megapixel main module with a large 1/1.3-inch sensor and a 64MP periscopic telephoto lens.
The company has now confirmed one of the most interesting parameters — battery capacity. The Magic8 Pro Air has a 5,500mAh battery. While this is less than some Chinese models with silicon-carbon (Si/C) batteries, the figure is still impressive: the battery is about 10 percent larger than the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, despite the Honor’s much smaller body thickness.

The company says the Magic8 Pro Air utilizes a battery with a record-breaking energy density —917Wh/L for a flagship smartphone. The battery supports 80W fast charging via cable and 50W wireless charging.
Earlier in the day, the smartphone was spotted in the Geekbench database. According to the leak, the Magic8 Pro Air is powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset and comes with 16GB of RAM, which confirms its positioning as a full-fledged top-end device despite its ultra-thin design.
