The device, called the ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Display Adapter, is priced at $150 and works on the principle of «plug and play».

ConnectAir supports 1080p resolution image streaming at 60Hz. According to Belkin, the latency is less than 80ms. The adapter is compatible with USB-C devices that support DisplayPort Alt Mode. These include Windows, macOS and ChromeOS laptops, tablets like the iPad Pro and iPad Air on M1 and M2 chips, and smartphones with video output capability. It’s also claimed to support up to eight simultaneous transmitters for multiple users to share the screen.

The AltPort Mode Display Mode will be available on Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and ChromeOS.

The dongle comes in a black color. It’s not yet available for sale, but is expected to be released early this year.
