BenQ has unveiled the GV50 portable laser projector with Google TV and Netflix support

BenQ has launched a new portable projector that aims to redefine home entertainment. The GV50 Smart FHD Laser is the latest addition to the popular GV range, aimed at everyday use at home and on-the-go viewing. Here are the key specs, features and price of the new device.
The BenQ GV50 combines a compact form factor with advanced visual and audio features. A key feature is the laser light source, which not only delivers high brightness but also a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours.

The device supports Full HD (1080p) and is capable of projecting images up to 120 inches. With CinematicColor technology, HDR support and 500 ANSI lumens, the picture is rich and vibrant. Sound comes from built-in 18-watt 2.1 speakers with deep bass, eliminating the need for external speakers.

The GV50 runs on Google TV and already has official Netflix support, so you can access content directly. Other features include low input lag (22.4ms), a USB-C port with DisplayPort support and charging capabilities, including for gaming consoles like the Nintendo Switch. Smart autofocus, keystone correction, and obstacle avoidance make it easy to install in any room.
